Graphite Donations Needed
Rex Gismond reported at the June meeting that the troops in Iraq need small tubes (6.5 grams) of graphite and that he has sent 150 tubes to Iraq. Graphite reportedly works better than the standard Army lubricants in the harsh and dusty conditions in Iraq. $81.00 in donations was collected at the meeting to purchase more tubes. Rex is negotiating with two graphite manufacturers to obtain a better cost. Anyone wishing to make a donation may send a check to the club post office box.
In addition, a motion was made, seconded and passed to have the club match dollar for dollar all donations received for graphite tubes by the August 9 club meeting.

Range News
George Rhoad reported at the June meeting that all of the dirt work on lower range #2 (Smallbore Silhouette) appears to be completed.

Member Alert! There are no trash cans on Benton Gun Club Ranges. We have burn barrels ONLY on ranges 1, 2, 3, and 4. Please place your unwanted targets, ammo boxes, cardboard, paper and other items that will burn in these barrels. If it will not burn, please take it home with you and dispose of it properly. Help keep our range clean so the people who work range maintenance can use their time for things like improvements instead of cleanup!
